Sambalpur, Mar 26: Union Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Dharmendra Pradhan met people of the Hirakud area who are undergoing treatment for diarrhoea at Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR) at Burla this morning.  

Pradhan, who has been named BJP candidate for the Sambalpur Lok Sabha seat, enquired about the health condition of diarrhoea-affected people from doctors. All patients are in stable condition, doctors told Pradhan. 

"I met the people who are undergoing treatment for diarrhoea at VIMSAR, Burla and asked the doctors about their health condition. The doctors and health workers informed me that the health condition of all the infected people is stable. I wish speedy recovery of the infected," Pradhan wrote on 'X', formerly known as Twitter. 

It may be noted that two people have already died of diarrhoea in Hirakud area and several others are still undergoing treatment for the disease.
