Sambalpur, Sep 17: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan participated in the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 2.0” tree plantation program at Sainik School, Gosala, in Sambalpur, commemorating Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday.

The event saw the presence of Panchayati Raj Minister Rabi Narayan Naik, former MLA Nauri Nayak, and other dignitaries.

Minister Pradhan personally planted a sapling in honour of his mother and encouraged students to do the same.

“This campaign is not just about greenery—it’s about gratitude,” he said, encouraging youth to take pride in protecting nature and honoring their roots.

He highlighted that Odisha is contributing 75 lakh trees to the national mission, aligning with PM Modi’s vision of a greener, more sustainable India. “The people of India are celebrating the Prime Minister’s birthday in a unique and meaningful way,” Pradhan added.
Students, teachers, and local residents actively participated in the plantation drive, expressing joy and fulfillment in being part of a movement that blends environmental responsibility with emotional significance.

The campaign, which has gained momentum across the country, aims to plant 10 crore trees this year, transforming personal tribute into collective action for a healthier planet.
