Bhubaneswar, Jan 4: Avail of GI (Geographical Index) Tag to seven products of Odisha is a matter of great pride, said Union Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Thursday.
For this, Pradhan expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Minister Piyush Goyal.
Pradhan said it is a matter of pride that the tasty Magji of Dhenkanal, Kalajira Rice being produced by the tribal community in Koraput district, Kai Chatni of Mayurbhanj, Kanteimundi brinjal of Nayagarh, date jaggery, embroidery shawl of Dongria Kondh and Chitrakala of Lanjia Soura have been given GI tag.

✨"Every food item and art and product produced in Odisha is unique. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is committed to promoting all these products worldwide," he said.
On behalf of the people of Odisha, he thanked Prime Minister Modi and Union Minister Goyal for their continued support in increasing the local economy by recognizing Odisha's food and other products at the national level.
