Union Minister Pradhan Flags Off E-District Services, Distributes Appointment Letters in Odisha As Part of 16th Rozgar Mela

Bhubaneswar, Jul 12: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan inaugurated the E-District services during the 16th CSC Foundation Day celebrations held in Bhubaneswar.
The event also witnessed the presence of Higher Education Minister Suryabanshi Suraj and Health & Family Welfare Minister Mukesh Mahaling.
As part of the 16th Rozgar Mela, Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed over 51,000 appointment letters to newly recruited candidates across 47 locations nationwide via video conferencing. In Bhubaneswar alone, 201 candidates received their appointment letters from Dharmendra Pradhan.
The appointments span across seven departments, including: 143 in Railways, 36 in Postal Services, 9 in Financial Services, 7 in AIIMS Bhubaneswar, 2 each in CRPF, CISF, and Revenue Services, 1 each in ICMR and ICAR Berhampur.
Addressing the gathering, Pradhan congratulated all the appointees and encouraged them to embrace AI technologies and maintain a competitive mindset through continuous learning.

Earlier, speaking about the 16th Rozgar Mela, Union Minister Pradhan acknowledged the Odisha government’s efforts in providing 25,000 to 30,000 jobs over the past year and extended his best wishes to those beneficiaries.
Notably, Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed over 51,000 appointment letters to newly-inducted recruits in various Central government departments and organisations through video conferencing during the 16th edition of the Rozgar Mela. The employment drive was conducted simultaneously at 47 locations across the country.
Highlighting India’s economic progress, Pradhan stated, “Under PM Modi’s leadership, India is now the fourth-largest economy in the world and is poised to become the third-largest soon.” He noted that increased capital investment, rising employment opportunities, and growing entrepreneurship are helping millions rise above the poverty line.
The Union Education Minister cited that capital investment has surged from ₹3 lakh crore in 2014 to over ₹12 lakh crore in 2024–25, reflecting India’s robust economic growth and its potential to generate lakhs of government jobs.
