Union Minister Nitin Gadkari To Launch Road Projects Worth Rs 4,000 Crore In Odisha Today

Bhubaneswar, Apr 17: Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, is set to arrive in Odisha today. During his one-day visit, the Union Minister is scheduled to lay the foundation stones for several infrastructure projects.

These projects, valued at over Rs 4,000 crore, aim to enhance connectivity and economic growth in the region.

The initiatives include 13 National Highway (NH) projects worth Rs 2,905 crore and 4 bridge projects under the Central Road Infrastructure Fund (CRIF) costing Rs 427 crore. Additionally, Gadkari will also inaugurate two national highway projects valued at Rs 841 crore.

Among the major road projects for which the foundation stone will be laid are four-laning of Banarpal-Godibandha at a cost of Rs 973 crore, widening of Daringbadi ghat portion of NH-59 at Rs 718 crore, widening of NH-10 from Mangalpur to Kayangola including spur to Aradi at Rs 374 crore and bridge over Mahanadi at Pujaripalli ghat connecting Jarimuli at Rs 273.94 crore.

He is also scheduled to attend the Dr Harekrushna Mahatab Memorial Lecture at Ravenshaw University in Cuttack to mark the birth anniversary of the former chief minister.

This ambitious plan is set to transform Odisha's landscape and drive it towards becoming a model state for infrastructure.
