Angul, Apr 26: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Sunday listened to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s radio programme 'Mann Ki Baat' along with locals at Nalam village under Kaniha block in Odisha's Angul district.
Call for Census Participation
In the 133rd episode of the programme, Modi urged citizens to actively participate in Census 2027, describing it as a crucial national exercise. He assured that all data collected would remain secure and confidential. Enumerators, he said, will conduct door-to-door data collection using a mobile application, while citizens will also have the option to submit details themselves in advance and receive a digital ID for verification.
“National census is not just a government task but a shared responsibility of every citizen,” the Prime Minister said, calling for accurate and honest participation.
Focus on Buddha’s Teachings
The Prime Minister also invoked the teachings of Gautama Buddha, emphasising their relevance in today’s world amid global tensions. Extending greetings ahead of Buddha Purnima, he said Buddha’s message of inner peace and self-discipline remains vital for both present and future.
