Bhubaneswar, Feb 28: Union Health Minister JP Nadda is holding a discussion with the BJP leaders of Odisha at the State Guest House in Bhubaneswar.

As per the report, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Odisha BJP President Manmohan Samal, BJP Odisha In-Charge Vijaypal Singh Tomar, General Secretary(Organisation) for BJP Odisha Manas Mohanty, State BJP Vice President Golak Mohapatra, former Minister of State for Jal Shakti of India Bishweswar Tudu and Odisha Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling are present at the meeting.

The report also says that Nadda will stay at the State Guest House for around two hours. The appointment of new BJP President is also likely to be a part of discussion. The Union Health Minister is also likely to give suggestions over the coordination between the organization and the government.

Earlier in the day, Nadda inaugurated the 9th National Health Conclave in Puri. The two-day summit aims to highlight the successful healthcare initiatives and innovations across the country.

Nadda has applauded the rate at which the Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) had made progress in Odisha. “The National Health Mission has done a very good job. I can say that our progress is very impressive,” said the Union Health Minister.

“Just now there was a discussion about Maternal Mortality Ratio (MMR). Today Odisha is moving ahead at a rapid pace in MMR and has established itself in the country. I always say look at the positive side,” added Nadda.
