Taking to X, Pradhan said, I am saddened to hear the news of the passing away of Maheswar Mohanty, former speaker of Odisha Assembly, minister and senior politician. He was a skilled politician in state politics. Especially the work he did for the people of Puri as a public representative for a long time will be remembered forever. May the immortal soul rest in peace and express condolences to the bereaved family. Om Shanti.”
