Strategically aligned with India’s multi-modal logistics vision, the project will integrate road, rail, and port connectivity, facilitating smoother cargo movement—especially for iron ore and other mineral exports from Odisha’s hinterlands. This is expected to enhance the state’s competitiveness in national and global supply chains.
The corridor will also decongest existing arterial roads, offering relief to daily commuters and improving air quality in urban centers. Additionally, the project is expected to generate thousands of jobs during its construction phase and stimulate ancillary industries such as logistics, warehousing, and tourism.
With Odisha emerging as a key player in India’s mineral
economy, this ring road is more than just a transport upgrade—it’s a strategic
investment in the state’s future.
