Puri, Mar 9: The Shree Mandir Administration has initiated the process to nominate the famous Ratha Yatra for the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage recognition.

According to reports, they are in the final stages of preparing the nomination document, which will be submitted soon.

Recently, during a visit to Delhi, Chief Administrator Dr Arabinda Padhee held discussions with senior officials from the Union Ministry of Culture regarding this initiative.

The Shreemandir administration is hopeful that this step will highlight the global significance of the holy Ratha Yatra, an extraordinary cultural and spiritual event.

The aim is to secure international recognition for its grandeur and cultural importance, showcasing its heritage on the global stage.
