Unable To Pay Rs 5, Laxmi Bus Makes Two Minor Boys Travel For 25 Km

Mayurbhanj, Sep 8: In a shocking incident in Mayurbhanj's Betnoti, two minor boys, who were unable to pay Rs 5 at their stoppage, were made to travel extra 25 kilometers by the Laxmi bus.
According to reports, the victims, Piyush, a 6th-grade student from Baishinga village, and Rohit, a 7th-grade student from Nadpur village had boarded the bus from Nadpur village junction around 2 PM on Sunday to reach Baishinga. At the time of boarding, they informed the conductor, Pratap Baita, that they did not have Rs 10 and that their father would pay the fare at Baishinga bus stand.
However, upon reaching Baishinga, their guardian Saroj was not present at the spot, and the boys could not pay the fare. Following this, they requested the conductor to let them off, but he ignored their plea and continued driving.

After nearly 1.5 hours, the family managed to intercept the bus and rescued the boys.

✨Upon learning about the incident, the family stopped the bus in the middle of Baishinga market and confronted the conductor.
Locals also gathered at the scene, leading to tension. Eventually, conductor Pratap apologised with folded hands to the guardians. Since other passengers were on board, the bus was allowed to continue its journey.
