Khurda, Jul 6: A devastating incident occurred near Bengabati Primary School in the outskirts of Bhubaneswar, where a school boundary wall collapsed, claiming the lives of two laborers.

The mishap took place while drain construction work was underway adjacent to the school premises.

According to reports, the workers were engaged in excavation when the wall suddenly collapsed, trapping them beneath the debris. Although rescue efforts were launched immediately, but both victims were declared dead at the scene.

On being informed, police reached the spot and initiated an inquiry into the incident.

Preliminary reports suggest structural instability due to ongoing digging activities. Officials are assessing whether safety protocols were followed during the construction.
