Two VSSUT Professors Suspended Over Misconduct Allegations

Sambalpur, Aug 15: The authorities of Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT), Burla has suspended two faculty members following serious allegations of misconduct involving a student and a colleague.
The suspended individuals include- Professor Debabrata Dhupal from the Department of Production Engineering and Associate Professor Dr. Mahendra Kumar Jena from the Department of Mathematics.
According to reports, Dr. Mahendra Kumar Jena was accused of inappropriate behaviour towards a female student from the Mathematics department in May.
In a separate incident, Professor Debabrata Dhupal allegedly misbehaved with a temporary colleague, prompting further scrutiny.
After reviewing the complaints and conducting preliminary inquiries, the university’s Board of Management decided to suspend both professors.
Further action will be determined based on the outcomes of the ongoing inquiry.
