Rourkela, June 8: In a heartrending incident, two students, who were doing internship at the National Institute of Technology in Rourkela (NITR), drowned while taking a bath in the Brahmani River this morning.  

According to the information, six students, who were doing internship at the NITR, went to take a bath in the Brahmani River at Vedavyas this morning. While taking a bath, all of them slipped into deep water and were washed away. While four of them were rescued by locals, two of them remained untaced for a few hours. However, fire personnel fished out their bodies following an search operation.  

Police have started an investigtion after sending the bodies for post-mortem. 

The incident has shocked the NITians.
