Two Siblings Die As Bike Rams Temple's Archway In Odisha's Ganjam

Ganjam, Jul 14: Two brothers were killed after the bike they were travelling in met with an accident near Maa Sihasani Temple at Balunkeswar Chhak, under Polasara police limits in Chirikipada Shasan, Ganjam district.

The deceased persons, identified as, Deepak Nayak and Arata Nayak, were relatives from Pankalabadi village in Mangalpur.

According to reports, the brother duo was returning from Chirikipada Shasan when their motorcycle reportedly rammed into the temple’s archway, resulting in severe injuries.

The incident came to fore after passerby spotted the duo in a pool of blood this morning and alerted Polasara police.

On being informed, police reached the spot and rushed the victims to Polasara Community Health Centre, where doctors declared them dead upon arrival.

Reportedly, police have registered a case and launched a probe to determine the exact cause of the accident, which remains unclear at this time.

The incident has cast a pall of gloom over the local community, with villagers mourning the untimely loss of two young lives.
