Sundargarh, Jan 23: Two girl students of a school sustained critical injuries after an unknown car allegedly hit their bicycle near Bandhapali chhak here in Odisha on Tuesday.
The injured students have been identified as Suniti Seth and Parvati Soreng. They reportedly study in Class VI at Bandhapali School.
As per reports, the incident occured when the minor girls were returning home on a bicycle after attending the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Jayanti programme at their school.
The speeding car allegedly hit the bicycle from behind and sped away, sources said.

✨The locals rescued the injured girls and rushed them to the District Headquarters Hospital here.
After getting information, Sundargarh Sadar Police reached the spot and started an investigation into the matter.
Angry over the incident, the locals staged a demonstration and blocked the main road here demanding adequate compensation to the victims.
