Bhubaneswar, May 13: Two Polling Officers were suspended for the dereliction of duty, informed Chief Electoral Officer, Odisha Nikunja Dhal on Monday.
Polling Officer Tejansu Shah engaged for voting in the Narla Assembly constituency under the Kalahandi Lok Sabha constituency has been suspended. Similarly, another Polling Officer of the Berhampur Parliamentary constituency has been put under the suspension for dereliction of duty, informed CEO Dhal.
Dhal also informed that an incident of political violence has been reported from the Chikiti Assembly constituency area and police have been alerted in that respect. District Collector and the SP have been asked to take immediate action, said Dhal
