Balangir, Dec 16: Diarrhoea looks to have spread its tentacles in many western districts in Odisha. While thousands have been infected, two more people succumbed to the water-borne infection in Bolangir district.
According to the information, the two people died while undergoing treatment at the Kantabanji hospital. Family members said he was admitted with sheer cholera symptoms.
Sources said many people are now undergoing treatment for diarrhoea infection.
Latest reports said Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO) Kuber Chandra Mohant went to the affected village and took stock of the situation. He talked to patients and doctors as well.

✨When asked if the two villagers died of diarrhoea, the CDMO said, "Two people have died. We are conducting an inquiry if they were infected with diarrhoea."
He also said he is visiting other government hospitals and investigating if diarrhoea has infected people.
