Bhubaneswar, Jul 22: Police on Tuesday registered a kidnapping case after two minor brothers went missing from Bhubaneswar since Saturday (July 19).

The victims have been identified as —Sai Reddy (9) and Shubham Reddy (6). The children, originally from Digapahandi area in Brahmapur, were residing with their family in the capital city.

After failing to trace the children, the family filed a missing report.

Following the complaint, police have launched a search operation and are coordinating with nearby districts to trace their whereabouts.

While there is no confirmed update yet, similar cases in the past have seen successful rescues through coordinated efforts by Odisha Police and the Crime Against Women & Children Wing.

The family remains hopeful and is appealing to the public for any information that could help locate the children.
