Sundargarh, Jul 16: Two persons lost their lives in two separate incidents of wall collapse caused by relentless rainfall in Koida block of Sundargarh district.
The deceased were identified as Banadui Bage (70) and Damani Seth of Koida area in the district.

✨In the first incident at Loharatoda village under Kalta Phandi, Banadui Bage was sleeping at home when her mud wall, soaked and weakened by heavy rain, crumbled on top of her, killing her instantly.
A similar tragedy struck Motuhanuman village in the same block, where another elderly woman, identified as Damani Seth, met a similar fate. She was resting when the saturated mud wall of her home caved in and collapsed. As a result, she was trapped under the debris and subsequently died on the spot.
The region has been experiencing continuous and heavy rainfall for the past two days.
