Sundergarh, Jul 4: Two persons were killed while four others sustained critical injuries after the SUV they were travelling in was hit by a speeding truck near Erien Chhak under Koida police limits in Odisha’s Sundergarh district.

The mishap occurred while an Omni vehicle was en route from Koida Pata to the Command Plant.

According to reports, the vehicle was struck on the highway by a speeding vehicle, resulting in a devastating collision. The impact was so severe that two passengers died on the spot, while four others sustained serious injuries.

On being informed, police rushed to the scene and assisted in transporting the injured to Koida Medical Center for emergency treatment.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident, and further details are awaited.
