Sambalpur, May 25: In a devastating late-night accident, a speeding car crashed into a road divider, resulting in the tragic deaths of two individuals. The incident occurred near Ladukhai under Burla police limits of Sambalpur district.

The deceased were identified as Manish Yadav and Subrat Sahu.

According to reports, the vehicle, carrying four individuals, was returning from a roadside eatery near Gosala to Godbhaga. Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle lost control over the wheels, rammed the vehicle into divider and subsequently collided with a truck. The impact was so severe that the car was completely mangled.

Following the incident, Manish and Subrat died on the spot, while two others-Saurabh Gupta and Akash Pattnayak with critical injuries rushed to VIMSAR in Burla for emergency treatment.

Later, on being informed, police reached the spot and initiated a probe into the incident.

A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
