Bhubaneswar, Jul 7: Odisha Vigilance department on Monday apprehended two officials on charges of demanding and accepting bribe from a beneficiary.
The accused officers were identified as Dr Subha Prakash Soren, Block Veterinary Officer, Rairakhol, Sambalpur and Maheswar Sahu, Programme Assistant (PA).
According to reports, the accused officers had demanded the bribe for release of 2nd phase subsidy towards a broiler farm.

✨On basis of the complaint, the anti-corruption wing laid a trap and caught the officers red-handed while accepting the gratification.
Subsequently, the officers were taken into custody and simultaneous searches were conducted at two locations associated with Dr Soren.
Reportedly, the raids were underway till the last report came in.
