Bhubaneswar, Apr 4: Two looters from Bihar were injured in a gunfight that ensued between them and the police in Bhubaneswar early Friday morning.

Arresting the two looters, the Commissionerate Police Special Squad busted a gang of robbers.

The two accused have been identified as Sonu Yadav and Manish Yadav. Both received bullet injuries in their left leg.

According to the informaiton, the police intercepted them at the riverbed at Bankuala and asked them to surrender. However, they opened fire on the cops. Police retaliated, firing at them.

Following the encounter, both were first taken to Capital Hospital and later shifted to Bada Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack. Police also seized two bikes and a car from their possession.

The two had come to Odisha by train. They stole motorcycles from different places. Police were searching for them.
