Mayurbhanj, Feb 20: In a road mishap, a woman was critically injured after a truck ran over the scooter at Krishnachandra Golai in Baripada town, here this morning.

The critical woman is identified as Misiswapna Sahoo. 

Around 10 am, a truck bearing the number OD 02BU 0428 came from Udala side and hit a scooter bearing the number OD 33W 1280.

According to the information, Husband and Wife identified as Misiswapna Sahoo and Sibashish Giri had came to baripada hospital to see their relatives who is admitted in the hospital.

However, before going to the hospital, they went to offer prayers at the Hanuman temple at Krishnachandra Golai. While returning from the temple, a truck lost balance and hit the scooty. 

While the husband survived the incident, his wife was admitted to PRM Medical College and Hospital in Baripada in critical condition. 

Meanwhile, Baripada town police have detained the truck driver and have started the investigation into this matter.
