Kantabanji, Nov 17: In a tragic mishap, a person was allegedly killed and another person sustained critical injuries after a motorcycle, on which they were travelling, was hit by a truck near Pallishree High School at Sindheikela under Bangomumda block in Bolangir district this afternoon. 

The deceased was identified as Shiva Kumar Sahu and the injured as Arabinda Sahu of Lebada village under Muribahal police station limits. 

According to the information, Shiva and Arabanda were returning home on a bike when a paddy-laden truck hit them on the back. Locals rushed the two to Sindheikela Hospital. While Shiva Kumar was declared dead, Arabinda was admitted in critical condition. 

Informed, local police rushed to the spot and seized the truck.
