Keonjhar, Feb 16: A truck driver was thrashed by a man and his relatives after he gave a lift to the man's wife on NH 20 near Kolimati nAnandpur of Keonjhar district last night. 

The truck driver has been identified as Karan Kumar Singh of Chhattisgarh. 

According to the information, he usually halts and eats in a roadside dhaba in the Jajpur road at night. A waitress working there asked for lift from him on Thursday night. 

In no time, the woman's husband and more than 10 of his relatives followed the truck on three bikes and physically assaulted the man.  

Police reached the spot and rushed Karan to the nearby medical.
