Bhubaneswar, Jul 16: A truck loaded with tomatoes was found engulfed in flames on National Highway 18 near Sankucha Square. The vehicle is suspected to have caught fire after hitting road divider.

According to reports, the truck, transporting tomatoes, was on way from Baripada towards Ranchi, when it erupted in flames in the middle of the road. The blaze ignited rapidly, creating panic in the area.

At present, the whereabouts of the driver and helper are unknown, and no casualty details have been confirmed.

On being informed, police personnel and the officials of Fire Department reached the spot and managed to bring the fire under control.

Police officials suggest that the initial impact with the divider might have triggered the fire. Investigations are currently underway to determine the exact cause.
