Training Programme Showcases CRRI Biofertilizer Model For Sustainable Agriculture

A field day-cum-training programme for Integrated Farming Systems (IFS) & Progressive Farmers on adaptation of CRRI Biofertilizer model was organised at Brahmansailo village under Kantapada block in Cuttack district on Friday.

Cuttack, May 10: A field day-cum-training programme for Integrated Farming Systems (IFS) & Progressive Farmers on adaptation of CRRI Biofertilizer model was organised at Brahmansailo village under Kantapada block in Cuttack district on Friday.


The programme, organised under the innovative project 'Jaivaposhak', was funded by DAFE, Government of Odisha.


Dr Upendra Kumar, Senior Scientist of CRRI, is the Principal Investigator of this project. Dr. Rajan Kamboj, Scientist, KVK Cuttack, is the resource person in this program. Dr Kamboj explained the insect pest management practices to be followed in IFS, and the importance of the application of Trichoderma in pulses and vegetable crops.


Applications of CRRI products Endo N, Endo NPK & Tech Decomposer along with azolla were demonstrated by Dr. Sai Krishna Repalli, Research Associate of the project.

This program was facilitated by Sarat Chandra Sahoo, Technical Officer and the project staff.


A total of 41 farmers, including 36 farm men and 5 farm women, participated and benefited from this programme, organised in collaboration with Swawalambi Odra Green Farmer Producer Company Limited and moderated by its founder Subhasis Sahoo.
