Bhubaneswar, Sep 30: The Commissionerate Police on Tuesday issued detailed traffic guidelines for the upcoming Durga Puja immersion festivities to ensure smooth conduct and public safety. The immersion processions will take place on October 3 across four designated routes in Bhubaneswar, officials said.

Four Committees to Lead Immersion Festivities

As per the guidelines, the immersion celebrations in the State Capital will be organized by four major committees: Sahid Nagar Bhasani Committee; Rajdhani Mandir Suraksha Bhasani Committee, Nayapalli ; North Bhubaneswar Bhasani Committee, Chandrasekharpur; and Old Town Bhasani Committee.

The Sahid Nagar Bhasani Committee will oversee the celebrations in the Sahid Nagar area. All idols from this region will be assembled and taken through Ram Mandir Square and Master Canteen Square before reaching the final immersion point at Rajmahal.

The Nayapalli Rajdhani Mandir Suraksha Bhasani Committee will coordinate the immersion activities in Nayapalli. Idols will gather in Nayapalli and proceed via CRP Square, Nayapalli Underpass, DAV School, and Gopabandhu Square, passing through Siripur Square en route to the immersion site.

The Chandrasekharpur North Bhubaneswar Bhasini Committee will manage the immersion procession in Chandrasekharpur. All idols will be assembled near Club Town Apartments and will move through Nalco Square to reach their destination.

Similarly, the Old Town Bhasani Committee will handle the immersion activities in the historic Old Town area in the city, ensuring smooth coordination and cultural vibrancy during the procession.
