Keonjhar, Mar 14: The Holi celebration plan turned disastrous for a family as three of the members lost their lives in a road accident in Keonjhar district's Champua area on Saturday morning.
According to the information, the parents and little brother of a married girl set out for the daughter's house to celebrate Holi as per their plan. But as luck would have it, the trio lost their lives on the way to the son-in-law's house. Their motorcycle was hit by a truck at Dalita Chhak on the NH 20.
The deceased were identified as Aiban Pradhan, his wife Mathamani Pradhan and son Mangal Pradhan of Sananai village under the Champua police station limits. They were going to their daughter's in-laws' house at Dolita Chhak. The incident occurred in front of the house of their son-in-law, Subrat Kumar Yadav.

✨Tension ran high as locals blocked the road, demanding compensation for the family and construction of speed-breakers at the accident spot. Agitators cleared the road with the intervention of Champua Tehsildar and police personnel.
Later, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced a compensation of Rs 4 lakh for the deceased's family.
