Bolangir, Feb 8: Tension ran high as a pregnant woman reportedly died due to faulty treatment at the Titilagarh government hospital in Odisha's Bolangir district today. 

The deceased has been identified as Binodini Chhatar of Sahini village under Titilagarh block. 

According to the information, Binodini had been admitted to the Obstentology& Gynaecology and Paedriatic Department of the hospital after she complained labour pain. She was not administered an injection following which she died. 

Alleging that Binodini died due to faulty treatment, family members along with relatives sat on a dharna, seeking action against the doctor and the nurse.

Knowing about the incident, the local Tehsildar and the SDPO along with the local IIC rushed to the spot to control the situation. 

Adequate police personnel have been deployed to see that the tension doesn't escalate in the hospital premises.
