Bhubaneswar, Mar 20: The Income Tax Department Thursday launched multiple raids at different locations across the state.

According to reports, the raids were conducted raid on businessman Bikram Sahu, Tirupati Sahukar and Someswar Sahukar.

The IT officials initiated searches at five locations linked to Bikram Sahu. These include several establishments in Angul, Talcher, Dhenkanal, Paralakhemundi, Puri, and Bhubaneswar. Similarly, the officials raided the residence of Tirupati Sahukar and Someswar Sahukar in Paralakhemundi.

The raids were related to income tax evasion and in some cases, non-payment of taxes, said an official of IT department.
