Bhubaneswar, Sep 23: Vedanta Aluminium, India’s largest aluminium producer, has taken a significant step toward improving women’s healthcare in Odisha by actively supporting the Government of India’s Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan. This nationwide initiative, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is the largest health outreach program for women and children, aiming to conduct over 10 lakh health camps across the country between September 17 and October 2, 2025.
In alignment with this mission, Vedanta Aluminium organized impactful health camps at Nakrundi Primary Health Centre in Kalahandi and Kashipur Community Health Centre in Rayagada. The camps, supported by Vedanta’s Mobile Health Units (MHUs), medical staff, diagnostic services, and essential medicines, benefitted 468 women and over 410 men and children. The company plans to extend its support to upcoming camps in Rampur and Sunger.
Rajiv Kumar, CEO of Vedanta Aluminium, emphasized the importance of accessible healthcare for women, stating, “Healthy women are the cornerstone of healthy families and empowered communities. Through our support to the Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan, we aim to bring quality medical care closer to those who need it most.”

✨Dr. Netra Nanda Nayak, Head of CHC Kashipur, praised the collaboration, noting that Vedanta’s involvement has significantly expanded outreach and improved timely diagnosis and treatment for rural women.
