Bargarh, Jul 10: A sudden spike in diarrhoea cases has been reported in Hirlipali village under Atabira block, beginning Tuesday night. The outbreak is suspected to be linked to contaminated water sources, prompting swift action from local health authorities.

According to reports, over 60 individuals, ranging from children to the elderly, have been affected by the outbreak. While 5 patients are reportedly in critical condition and been referred to Burla VIMSAR hospital, two patients have recovered and returned home, while 3 remain under treatment.

Amid the surge in cases, Group Health Centre officials, under the direction of Dr. Rabinarayan Mishra, have set up a temporary medical camp in the village.
