Sundargarh, Aug 14: In a heartwrenching incident, two people were killed in an elephant attack late Tuesday night.
The incident took place in Balijhudi village in Barsuan Forest Range in Sundargarh district. The deceased have been identified as Sukanti Bhatta and Sukhnath Bhatta.
Five people of a family -- a woman and her children -- were reportedly asleep when the wild tusker attacked their house resulting the collapse of a side wall of the house. The family members were struck under the collapsed wall.

According to reports, the woman was four-month pregnant. On the other hand, the father of the children reportedly went to Bengaluru for labour work just seven days ago.
