Sundargarh, Aug 3: A tragic and suspicious death of a minor girl has shocked residents of a village under the Talsara police jurisdiction. The girl's hanging body was discovered in a nearby forest two days after she was reported missing.

According to sources, the minor had last been seen on Friday being taken on a motorcycle by a youth from her own village. Eyewitnesses claim the youth was heading toward the forest area with the girl. However, he returned alone, and the girl was nowhere to be found. Her family, alarmed by her disappearance and the youth’s silence, lodged a formal complaint with the local police.

Following the complaint, police launched an investigation and detained two youths for questioning — one from the same village and another from neighbouring Chhattisgarh. The detained individuals are being interrogated to uncover the circumstances surrounding the girl's death.

The discovery of the body in a hanging position has raised serious concerns about possible foul play. The police are awaiting the post-mortem report to determine the exact cause of death. Meanwhile, the incident has sparked outrage and grief in the local community.
