Sunabeda Tragedy: CM Majhi Expresses Grief; Announces Financial Aid For Victims’ Families

Koraput, Jul 20: In a tragic road accident that claimed three lives in Koraput’s Sunabeda, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi has extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families of the victims.

The accident, which took place in the Koraput district, took the lives of Ashutosh Rana, Dibyaranjan Patra, and Bikash Patra.

The Chief Minister acknowledged the profound loss and announced a financial aid of Rs 4 lakh each to the next of kin of the deceased, to be disbursed from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund (CMRF).

Additionally, he assured that the state government will bear the full cost of medical treatment for those injured in the incident.

In his statement, CM Majhi emphasised the government's commitment to standing by its people in times of hardship and grief.

“We share the pain of the families affected by this tragedy. The government will provide all necessary support during this difficult time,” said the CM.

Local authorities have been directed to expedite relief and ensure proper care for the injured. Investigations into the cause of the accident are currently underway.
