Puri, Jun 25: Renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik on Thursday created a six-foot sand sculpture at Puri Beach inOdisha, to express solidarity with victims of the devastating earthquakes in Venezuela. The artwork carried the message “Help the Earthquake Victims”, symbolising compassion, hope, and global unity.

Crafted with assistance from students at the Sudarsan Sand Art Institute, the sculpture conveyed heartfelt condolences to families who lost loved ones and offered prayers for the injured and displaced. Pattnaik said his prayers were with the people of Venezuela during this difficult time, adding that through his sand art he wished to express solidarity with the victims and their families.

Pattnaik, recipient of the Padma Shri, is internationally acclaimed for raising awareness on humanitarian, social, and environmental issues through sand art.
