Bhubaneswar, Aug 23: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Friday announced the standard operating procedure (SOP) for Subhadra Yojana and said that more than 1 crore women between 21-60 years age will get Rs 10,000 per annum for next five years under the scheme.
The Chief Minister made the announcement in the State Assembly after the State Cabinet approved the Subhadra Yojana on Thursday.
"Under the Subhadra Yojana, a total of Rs.10,000 per annum will be paid in two instalments of Rs 5000 each on Rakhi Purnima Day and International Women's Day (March 8). Thus, an eligible woman beneficiary will get Rs 50,000 in total in five years from the financial year 2024-25 to financial year 2028-29," the Chief Minister said.
Subhadra Yojana will transform the lives of more than 1 crore women of the State, he added.

✨"Women from economically well-off families, government employees, or income taxpayers will not be eligible for the scheme." the CM further said.
Women receiving Rs 1,500 or more per month or Rs 18,000 or more per year from any other government scheme will also be excluded, he added.
"To avail the benefits under this scheme, the eligible women can apply by filling up the forms available free of cost at Anganwadi Centres, Block Offices, Mo Seva Kendras and Jan Seva Kendras," he added. "A Call Centre will also be set up for Subhadra Yojana."
