Subhadra Yojana: Odisha To Disburse Fifth Phase 1st Installment Today

Bhubaneswar Mar 6: The Odisha government will disburse the first installment of financial assistance under the fifth phase of the Subhadra Yojana today.
While the first installment will be disbursed today, second installment will be released on March 8. Over one crore women would benefit from this phase of the welfare initiative.
The scheme was launched on the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 17.
Under the scheme, every eligible beneficiary women aged between 21 and 60 years will receive a total of Rs 50,000 over a five-year period, from 2024–2025 to 2028–2029. This financial assistance of Rs 10,000 will be distributed in two equal payments each year.
The funds will be directly deposited into the beneficiaries’ bank accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system, ensuring a seamless transaction linked to Aadhaar verification.
