Subhadra Yojana: Odisha CM Disburses Rs 900 Cr To 18 Lakh More Women

Jajpur, Feb 8: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Saturday disbursed Rs 5,000 each to over 18 lakh women beneficiaries under Subhadra Yojana in the 4th phase of the first instalment in the state.
Accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida and Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling, Majhi disbursed about Rs 900 crore through direct bank transfer (DBT) system at a function held in Jajpur.
ଆଜି ମା' ବିରଜାଙ୍କ ପବିତ୍ର ମାଟି ଯାଜପୁର ଠାରେ ସୁଭଦ୍ରା ଯୋଜନାର ପ୍ରଥମ କିସ୍ତିର ଚତୁର୍ଥ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟାୟ ସହାୟତା ପ୍ରଦାନ କରାଗଲା। ଏହି ଅବସରରେ ମୋଟ ୧୮ଲକ୍ଷରୁ ଊର୍ଦ୍ଧ୍ଵ ନୂତନ ହିତାଧିକାରୀଙ୍କୁ ୯୦୦କୋଟିରୁ ଊର୍ଦ୍ଧ୍ଵ ଟଙ୍କାର ଆର୍ଥିକ ସହାୟତା ପ୍ରଦାନ କରି ମୁଁ ଅତ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଆନନ୍ଦିତ।

Speaking on
the occasion, the Chief Minister said, “The 'Subhadra' scheme has been
successfully implemented with utmost importance to empower the women of the
state. Fulfilling the promise, the people's government has today provided
direct assistance to the beneficiaries through DBT, which has played a
significant role in strengthening their financial condition.”

“This scheme is fulfilling the hopes and
aspirations of the mothers and sisters of the state and is helping in building
a prosperous Odisha,” he added.
With this, a total of over 98 lakh women have received Rs 5,000 each under the Subhadra Yojana launched by the State government last year.
Subhadra Yojana was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Odisha on September 17, 2024, after the BJP came to power in the state after defeating the BJD which had been ruling the state for 24 years.
