Bhubaneswar, Mar 8: The Odisha government will disburse the second instalment of financial assistance under the Subhadra Yojana today on the occasion of International Women’s Day.

As many as 2,34,000 women have received the first instalment on March 6.
Subhadra Yojana was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 17 last year. Since then, over 1 crore women have received Rs 5,000 each in first instalment in five phases.
Under the scheme, every eligible beneficiary women aged between 21 and 60 years will receive a total of Rs 50,000 over a five-year period, from 2024–2025 to 2028–2029. This financial assistance of Rs 10,000 will be distributed in two equal payments each year.
Notably, the last date of submitting application for the Subhadra Yojana is March 31. Earlier, February 28 was the last date to apply for the flagship scheme.
