Bhubaneswar, Apr 14: In a major relief for beneficiaries, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida has announced a significant update regarding the Subhadra Yojana.
The scheme, which was opened for current phase's registration from April 1, 2026, allows women between the ages of 21 and 60 to apply for financial assistance. However, only those who have not previously applied are eligible during this period.
Under the scheme, eligible women will receive ₹10,000 annually in two installments. The assistance will continue for the duration of the scheme, ensuring sustained support for women across Odisha.

Speaking on Tuesday, Deputy CM Parida revealed that the application window, originally set from April 1 to April 30, may be extended by five additional days if technical errors or delays occur.

✨“Despite half the application period having passed, the number of new applicants remains relatively low,” noted Parida, urging women turning 21 this year to take advantage of the opportunity and register within the stipulated time.
Applications can be submitted through Common Service Centres (CSCs) and Ama Seva Kendras via the Subhadra portal. Free application forms are also available at all Anganwadi centres and CDPO offices, ensuring accessibility for women across rural and urban areas.
Parida emphasized that the scheme is designed to empower women and provide them with financial independence. She reiterated that the government remains committed to ensuring smooth implementation and will extend the deadline if necessary to accommodate genuine applicants.
The Subhadra Yojana has already generated significant
interest since its launch, and the latest update is expected to encourage more
women to register. With the government’s assurance of flexibility and support,
the scheme is poised to make a meaningful impact on women’s lives across
Odisha.
