Bhubaneswar, Sept 7: In a bid to aware the people of Odisha about the 'Subhadra Yojana', Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will flag off the 'Subhadra Awareness Van', Saturday morning.
The flagging off ceremony is scheduled to take place at 9.30 am Saturday at Mahatma Gandhi Marg, says a release from I&PR Department, Govt of Odisha.
Besides CM Majhi, the ceremony will be graced by the presence of Deputy CM Pravati Parida and other dignitaries.
'Subhadra Yojana' is the flagship scheme of the CM Majhi-led BJP government.
In a major initiative for women empowerment in Odisha, the State government announced Subhadra Yojana, which entitles a financial assistance of Rs 10,000 annually to over one crore women in the state for five years till 2028-29 fiscal.

✨Under this scheme, the beneficiaries will receive Rs 5,000 each in two instalments in a financial year and Rs 50,000 in five years.
The money will be directly credited to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries. Eligible women beneficiaries will get their first instalment of Rs 5,000 September 17.

The portal -- www.subhadra.odisha.gov.in -- will provide all the information about the flagship scheme.
