Banki, Aug 2: Over hundred of students from Gayalbank Government High School in Bhogipur Gram Panchayat under Dampada Block here staged a sit-in protest on Saturday morning, demanding the cancellation of a transfer order for their English teacher.

According to reports, as soon as the school gates were opened in the morning, students gathered in front of the entrance, and refused to attend the classes. They were joined by parents and local residents, who expressed strong support for the teacher and demanded revoke of the transfer order.

The protest led to a complete halt in academic activities.

Students claimed that her departure would negatively impact their education, especially in English—a subject crucial for board exams and future opportunities.

The matter has drawn attention from local education authorities, and discussions are underway to review the transfer decision.
