Balangir, Jan 8: Students and parents locked the gates of Chatuanaka Unnita High School under Tureikela block in Balangir district on Monday. 

According to complaints by parents, for the last two years, many of the teachers of this school have been deputed to other places. As a result, normal classes are not being held. Despite their repeated approaches, no step has been taken to resolve the issue by the authorities. 

"With no option left, we have been forced to lock the gate of the school. We want the deputed teachers brought back to the school without delay for the bright future of our wards," said protesting parents. 

According to the information, there were 18 teachers in the school of whom five have been sent on deputation to other schools. 
Keeping in view the board examinations in February, the protestors have demanded to get back their deputed teachers.
