Students Can Study BEd After Plus II In Odisha; MoU Signed

Bhubaneswar, Mar 13: Now students will get the opportunity to do B.Ed, not after B.Ed but after Plus II. Out of 16 Teacher Education Institutions of the Department of Higher Education, eight have signed MoUs with the nearby colleges.
Higher Education Minister Suryavanshi Suraj said that this agreement will be a milestone in the implementation of the National Education Policy. Earlier, candidates were getting an opportunity to study B.Ed after graduation.
After the signing of the MoU today, those who will study in teacher education institutions under the new Integrated Teacher Education Program course will not have to study for another 5 years.

✨On the basis of the 4-year integrated course, students can do B.Ed. after 2 years. This is one of the many constructive steps taken after the implementation of the National Education Policy in the State. A sum of Rs 168 crore has been sanctioned by the department to address the infrastructural problems of 189 private undergraduate colleges.
Higher Education Minister Suryavanshi Suraj interacted with the students and faculty members on the occasion of signing of the MoU.
