Balasore, Jul 18: Following the tragic self-immolation incident involving a student from FM College, the Directorate of Education in Balasore has intensified its inquiry.

A probe committee, headed by the Director of Education, has summoned members of the college’s Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) to appear before it today.

The directive was formally communicated to the In-charge Principal of FM College earlier this morning.

Officials stated that the committee seeks to investigate the circumstances leading to the incident, particularly the role and response of the ICC regarding any prior complaints or grievances filed by the student.

The Directorate affirmed its commitment to a fair and transparent investigation, emphasising accountability and student safety. More developments are expected as the inquiry progresses.
