Bhubaneswar, Nov 7: The 'timed out' wicket of Sri Lankan batsman Angelo Mathews has created a stirred on the internetand cricket world, raising questions on the sportsmanship of the Bangladesh players. During the cricket world cup match between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, the Bangladesh players appealed for a 'timed out' as Mathews took a longer to start batting as he was exchanging his helmet which was broken. He was declared out which shocked the cricket fans all around the world and questioned the ethics of Bangladeshi players as cricket is a 'gentlemens game'. 

As Mathews suffered for his broken helmet, the State Transport Authority of Odisha came up with a creative approach to create awareness among the people by sharing the photo of Mathews and mentoining that how a broken helmet can take your wicket as well as 'life'.

In the awareness post about the importance of using helmet, the State Transport Authority Odisha sahred a post on their official Facebook handle with a photo which mentioned 'on field or  off filed', bad quality helmet can take your life.' 

The caption of the post also mentioned, ' Don't throw away your wicket, play a consistent long innings. Always wear ISI certified helmet  & tie the strap. Also encourage pillion rider to do so.

The post surfaced on the internet and people praised the creative approach of the transport authority. Some users came up with hilarious reamrks in the comment section as one user commented,'Not only helmet Bad quality pitch, some times holes and cracks on the pitch may also took some ones wicket,' and another user commented,'It's applicable on police personnel also.. during the political party meeting also.'
